How much do you and your drivers know about the effects of alcohol and drugs? The answer is probably not enough! At a recent CPT Coaching Conference around 80 managers and proprietors were asked to complete a simple alcohol and drugs questionnaire. How many got all ten questions correct? – NONE!

Few drivers deliberately report for work under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If they fail a breathalyser or drugs test, it is usually because of ignorance and a lack of understanding as to how alcohol is processed by the body and what effect prescribed and ‘over the counter’ drugs can have on driving impairment.
