Employees Guide to Health & Safety At Work

As all employers should be aware, the Health & Safety at Work Act is the cornerstone of health & safety law and is designed to protect people at work and the general public. All employees should have a basic knowledge of what the Act says.

Employers have a duty to educate and inform employees of their responsibilities under the Health & Safety Act and the ‘Scriptographic’ booklet featured overleaf does so swiftly and clearly in an interesting and informative way. These 16 page booklets have been awarded the ‘Crystal mark’ by the campaign for plain English. There is a test of knowledge at the back cover and this can be detached and kept as a signed training record, which is essential, especially as it is one of the important ‘disclosures’ now requested in any employee or public liability claim.
